Kristin Garr focuses her practice on general corporate matters, including capital markets, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions and securities law compliance.
Kristin works with a variety of public and private clients, including tech companies and startups, primarily in the climate tech, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, SaaS, fintech, IoT and gaming sectors.

- Represented Chevron Technology Ventures in connection with various investments, including Infinitum Electric, Inc., Compact Membrane Systems, Inc., APERIO Systems, Inc., Electric Era Technologies, Inc., Ionomr Innovations Inc. and Xage Security, Inc.
- Represented Chevron New Energies in connection with its investment in Svante's $318 million Series E funding round as lead investor, Zero Emission Industries’ Series A financing and Ion Clean Energy’s $45 million funding round.
- Represented global marketing and revenue operations company Regalix in its acquisition by MarketStar, a deal honored as the 2024 Americas Media & Marketing Deal of the Year by M&A Atlas Americas Awards.

- Represented Everi Holdings Inc., one of the largest suppliers of technology solutions for the casino floor, in the definitive agreements for a combination of Everi and the gaming businesses of International Game Technology PLC to be simultaneously acquired by a newly formed holding company owned by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management Inc. for approximately $6.3 billion on a combined basis.
- Represented Nikola Corporation, a manufacturer of heavy-duty commercial battery-electric vehicles, fuel-cell electric vehicles and energy solutions, in connection with its acquisition of Romeo Power, Inc., $100 million public offering of common stock, $175 million green convertible senior notes offering and $160 million securities purchase agreement for the sale of its convertible notes.
- Represented Speakeasy Co., an e-commerce platform for the Wine & Spirits industry, in its acquisition by Flaviar.
- Represented Perpetual Capital Partners in its acquisition of Novatech, Inc., a provider of business technology solutions.
- Represented Identiv, Inc., a global digital security and identification leader in IoT, in the $145 million sale of its physical security, access card and identity reader operations and assets to Vitaprotech Group SAS.
- Represented Verdigris Technologies, a leading provider of AI-powered energy management solutions, in its $10 million funding round led by DCVC and Solea Energy.
- Represented Airly, a cleantech startup, in its $5.5 million Series A financing led by firstminute capital and Pi Labs.
- Represented Nod.ai, an open-source AI software provider, in its acquisition by AMD.
- Represented Swrve, a premier mobile app marketing platform, in its acquisition by MessageGears.

- Prior to joining Pillsbury, Kristin was an attorney for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel Honors Program.
