Led by Corporate partner Jarrod D. Murphy, global co-leader of Pillsbury’s M&A and Private Equity Group, a team of Pillsbury lawyers advised CVC DIF on the acquisition of 18 water and wastewater utilities in Arizona from JW Water and Robson Communities. CVC DIF is the infrastructure strategy of CVC, a leading global private markets manager with approximately €191 billion of assets under management.

JW Water, a regulated utility platform, provides essential water and wastewater services to approximately 9,000 customers across ten utilities in Arizona. In addition to JW Water, the transaction included a portfolio of eight utilities serving over 41,000 Robson Communities’ customers across the state.

As reported in the recent CVC DIF press release, the integration of the Robson utilities with the JW Water portfolio will position JW Water as a leading mid-market regulated water and wastewater utility platform, servicing more than 50,000 customers. The transactions are expected to significantly strengthen the platform’s ability to invest in critical infrastructure, ensuring the continued provision of safe and reliable drinking water and wastewater services to its expanding customer base.
