Ryan has experience assisting clients in all aspects of compensation, including advising on the design, implementation and administration of companies’ equity and equity-based incentive programs, cash incentive plans, Section 409A compliance and other tax considerations related to executive compensation arrangements. Ryan has worked with a variety of clients, from early-stage startup companies to large public companies.

  • Advised Reservoir Communications Group in advancing a new investment partnership with Chicago-based private equity firm Periscope Equity.
  • Provided legal counsel to Softrams in connection with its recent acquisition by premier middle-market technology and advisory services provider, Tria Federal.
  • Advised BRANDED in its recent acquisition of digital brand creation pioneer Heyday to form a new company, Essor.

  • During law school, Ryan was a member of the University of Cincinnati College of Law Law Review, and while in his LL.M. program, he was independently published by the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law.
