Jennifer Wong focuses her practice on employee benefits, with an emphasis on health and welfare benefit plans and retirement plans.

Jennifer has experience assisting clients in all aspects of employee benefits, including advising on compliance and fiduciary issues related to the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, Affordable Care Act, HIPAA and COBRA.

During law school, Jennifer served as symposium editor for Hastings Law Journal, competed in Health Law Transactional Moot Court competitions, served on the board of the Hastings Health Law Organization, and worked as a corporate counsel extern at Kaiser Permanente.

  • Advised BRANDED in its recent acquisition of digital brand creation pioneer Heyday to form a new company, Essor.
  • Advised longtime client Clearwater Paper Corporation in entering into a definitive agreement to sell its tissue business to Sofidel America Corporation, a subsidiary of Sofidel S.p.A.
  • Advised Ventura Foods in the closing of its acquisition of DYMA Brands.

  • Represented client Everi Holdings Inc. in its definitive agreements with International Game Technology PLC. In the deal, IGT will separate its Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses by way of a taxable spin-off to IGT shareholders and then immediately combine such businesses with Everi. The deal values the combined businesses at approximately $6.2 billion on an enterprise value basis.
  • Advised Clearwater Paper Corporation in its definitive agreement to acquire an Augusta from Graphic Packaging Holding Company, a consumer packaging designer and producer.
