Pillsbury advised Nirmata, a leader in cloud-native security policy automation and governance solutions, in raising $9.6 million via a recent funding round.

Peak VX Surge led the funding round, with additional participation from Dallas Venture Capital, Dreamit Ventures and existing investors Z5 Capital and Uncorrelated Ventures.

According to a press release, Nirmata plans to expand its presence, scale its go-to-market and accelerate product development to serve as the de-facto hub of security automation, governance and compliance for all applications and the underlying IT infrastructure from code to cloud.
