Stacie represents clients involved in high-stakes disputes. Whether it is litigating matters from discovery and motion practice through trial and appeal or advising her clients on strategic approaches to resolve disputes pre-litigation, she brings her substantial courtroom experience to achieve client-driven results.

Stacie handles a variety of complex civil litigation matters for clients across multiple industries, with experience in higher education, consumer class action and competition law, and commercial lease and other contract disputes. She has handled lawsuits in federal and state courts, with a particular mastery of California procedure. Outside of the courtroom, Stacie advises her clients on achieving regulatory compliance, responding to government investigations and audits, and identifying and avoiding litigation risk.

Representative Experience

  • Represents private university in litigation matters and government investigations involving a wide range of legal issues, including Title IX and other regulatory compliance, student and staff disciplinary matters, research funding, admissions and contract disputes. Recent representative matters include managing multi-year Title IX audit and advising on Title IX policy and procedure revisions and compliance and successfully defending outcome of multiple student disciplinary matters at California Court of Appeals.
  • Achieved complete defense verdict after month-long jury trial in Bakersfield, California in case involving fraud and negligence claims, where plaintiffs sought damages in the hundreds of millions.
  • Represents a variety of clients across industries including hotel and vacation properties, food and beverage, and retail goods in defending consumer class action matters involving state and federal antitrust, unfair competition, and fraudulent or deceptive business practices claims.
