Eric advises transportation and energy clients on environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well as issues arising under the California Coastal Act, Clean Water Act, and the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA.)
Representative Experience
- Represented San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) on CEQA and NEPA review and related environmental issues for the BART to Livermore extension project.
- Advised energy clients on environmental review and permitting for offshore production platform decommissioning projects.

Proposed NEPA Regulations Would Streamline Analysis and Eliminate Cumulative Impacts
The proposed NEPA regulations would eliminate agencies’ obligation to consider a project’s indirect and cumulative impacts in environmental reviews and would shorten the time frame for completing reviews, among other major changes.
