Washingtonian Magazine Recognizes Patrick Potter with Another “Top Lawyer” Award

The selection process involves a thorough survey of past Top Lawyers honorees, who nominate candidates they consider the best among their peers. Additionally, the magazine undertakes comprehensive research to curate and finalize the list of winners.

Potter has been practicing corporate chapter 11 (representing debtors, creditors, creditor committees and other constituents), for more than 35 years and regularly appears in bankruptcy courts throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He represents clients in a broad range of industries, including commercial real estate, construction, health care, hospitality and energy. His domestic practice is comprised primarily of representing chapter 11 debtors. Potter has worked internationally on dozens of capacity building projects since 2014, with a focus on the MENA Region. He has presented at more than 30 conferences, seminars, workshops, roundtables and case study programs in and with MENA Region countries, with a particular emphasis on bankruptcy development and implementation in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Morocco. Potter has also represented clients in chapter 15 proceedings in the United States. He is an active member in INSOL International, serves on the International Insolvency Institute’s Membership Committee and is the Education Director for the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Commercial Real Estate Committee.
