Kapow Software, a Palo Alto-based provider of information integration solutions, has been acquired by Kofax for $47.5 million, including certain milestone payments. Hundreds of companies from AstraZeneca to Thomson Reuters use the Kapow platform to harvest data and automate business processes.
Stanley Pierson, head of Pillsbury’s corporate and securities technology group, led the team advising Kapow, which include partners Cindy Schlaefer and C. Brian Wainwright, senior associate Gauri Manglik, and associates Michael Riccoboni, Derek Chien and Marta Porwit.
