Pillsbury is proud to announce it has achieved Mansfield Certification Plus for 2023-2024. This means that the firm has at least 30 percent of underrepresented lawyers in firm leadership roles. These leaders include women, lawyers from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, lawyers with disabilities and LGBTQ+ lawyers.
In an effort to ensure all talent has a fair and equal opportunity to advance into leadership, the firm has been committed to completing Mansfield’s year-long certification process since 2021. As such, the firm was specifically named an “Early Adopter,” which included firms that adopted Mansfield between 2019 and 2021 and remained committed for five to six years.
To further demonstrate a commitment to enduring institutional change, Pillsbury will participate in next year’s Mansfield Rule Certification Plus.
Pillsbury brings innovation to more than just its legal work. That same pioneering vision directs the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. It was among the first major law firms to promote women to partnership and the first large, national firm in the U.S. to elect a woman as Firm Chair. Today, Pillsbury’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is evident in the composition of its firm leadership; attorneys of color, women attorneys and LGBTQ+ attorneys lead our practices and offices and serve on influential firm committees.
