The Daily Journal reports that data systems and telecommunications provider ClariPhy Communications Inc. will be sold to Silicon Valley semiconductor company Inphi Corp. in a $275 million cash deal. The transaction is expected to close before the end of the year, and ClariPhy’s employees, including members of its executive team, will join Inphi after closing. Inphi’s president and CEO Ford Tamer said the acquisition will enhance the company’s product portfolio for optical networking customers.
A Pillsbury team led by Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner Allison Leopold Tilley advised Inphi in the transaction. The team also included Tax partner Brian Wainwright, counsel Christina Pearson and associates Judy Yan, Anna He and Matthew Ryan. Pillsbury also advised Inphi in a $287.5 notes offering in September.
