Sungbum Lee is a member of the International Trade practice group and is based in Washington, DC.

Sungbum focuses on assisting companies in dealing with new regulations that come out from multiple jurisdictions that may impact their global businesses. He also concentrates his work on trade remedies, World Trade Organization (WTO) regulations and free trade agreements (FTAs). Additionally, Sungbum specializes in customs matters with regard to products destined to Korea.

Sungbum is not a member of the D.C. bar and is practicing under the supervision of D.C. Bar members.

Representative Experience

  • Represented companies including the Hyundai Motor Company in U.S. Section 232 investigations before the U.S. Department of Commerce.
  • Represented domestic companies in safeguard investigations into automobiles by the Philippines government and assisted domestic companies in responding to economic sanctions by the United Nations, United States, EU, Iran and Russia.
  • Advises numerous companies on FTA country-of-origin verification, customs review and item classification issues.
