Amanda Freyre, a partner in Pillsbury’s New York litigation group, advises clients on all phases of litigation and arbitration, including on pre-litigation strategies to navigate potential disputes and, when needed, protecting clients’ interests in high-stakes litigation and arbitration.
Her clients include entrepreneurs, executives of emerging growth companies, and in-house counsel at global companies in the technology, financial services, aerospace and manufacturing industries.
With over a decade of experience litigating matters from inception to final resolution, Amanda’s priority is working closely with clients to spot issues early and resolve problems before they reach the courtroom. Amanda is originally from Florida, where she is also licensed to practice law.

- Successfully defended financial services consortium in connection with $30 million claim asserted against it, from inception of matter to final arbitration hearing, including direct and cross examination of key fact witnesses.
- Negotiated a favorable settlement for a New York-based venture capital firm, achieving resolution prior to discovery.
- Obtained temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions to enforce contractual terms on behalf of multiple clients.

- Defended fintech company in connection with lawsuit filed by a multibillion-dollar financial institution in connection with a breach of contract and antitrust matter, including defending and taking depositions of several C-suite executives, leading to a favorable resolution for the client.
- Defended several financial advisory services firms in connection with of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims, resulting in dismissal of claims at preliminary stages of litigation.
- Represented a residential mortgage-backed securities trustee in litigation involving $900 million in disputed mortgage insurance claims, resulting in favorable settlement for the client.
